This is gonna be a special reveal day. Why special? Well, first of all there is no jewellery involved this time, no challenge, no wire working… Nothing. Second because this reveal day is a special tribute to someone special.
It all started on Facebook, well not all, but the idea behind this tribute certainly did.
You know Sandra, right? Well, for those of you who don’t, please have a look at her blog
The group was called In the Pink, – does it ring any bell? Special person, pink… Nothing? -, it was a secret group and the members were all artists who took part at the Bead Soup Blog Party®.
Now, if you still have no idea of what I am talking about, try googling “Bead Soup Blog Party” and see what Mr. Google tells you. If you don’t need to google, well, I think that you made your maths correctly.
When I first began involved in jewellery creation, I spent a lot of time looking for blogs, techniques, images… And everyday, no matter what, I landed in Lori’s blog.
I began to read it and found a real person that has no fear to put herself, her story, her life, her happiness, her pain and her joys out there in the web. And I admired her for that.
Yes, her jewellery is great, but that’s not the reason why I decided to accept Sandra’s invite to join her group. It’s not because of her skills, but it’s because of the emotions that she can give me when I read her posts, because of the feeling I have that she is real. No matter what. She is there with her emotions, ready to help you if you need, ready to encourage your work, or to sit and eat a piece of pie.
That’s why I decided to tribute her. How? Well, the idea of the group was to temporarly die our hair of PINK and to share a photo. So, today, you can hop around the world and see pink hair everywhere. This is our way to say THANK YOU LORI.
Ready to pink around?
