Elastic bracelets seem to be a must this summer (by the way, is it raining where you live?).
They are fun to wear and can go with every look and style, but if you want to enjoy them the most, you have to layer them up.
You can find each single bracelet in my Etsy shop. And if not, just ask!
That’s why I want to present you today another memory wire bracelet.
This one is made using pink seed beads, crystal beads and Czech beads in different shapes and colours.
The hues go from a matt pink to purple to clear rose to all the reflections you can spot in the most transparent beads.
It is available here.
Here is really sunny lately and I wanted to celebrate the upcoming spring with this bracelet.
It is made using memory wire, glass beads in different sizes and shapes, and seed beads.
You can find it here
- If you are a Worpdress.com user, you know that you cannot use Java script in your post;
- If you are a Pinterest user, you know that Pinterest changed its settings some times ago;
- If you are both a WordPress user and a Pinterest user, you know that now you cannot embed Pinned images in your posts any more.
For me this means that I had to delete all the “P.S. Pinning Sunday” posts written in the last months as they weren’t displayed any more.
This also means that I have decided to change my “P.S. Pinning Sunday” into “P.S. Promoting Sunday”!
I will begin shamelessly promoting my last bracelet.
It features 5 chains in a bronze colour and several Swarovski beads. You can find it in my DaWanda shop.
Big news today!
I have decided to host my first giveaway! This is something completely new to me, so I want to keep it simple.
First of all, I’ll show you what you can win, so in case you are not interested you can immediately stop reading (please don’t!).
It’s a memory wire-bangle-style bracelet in bronze and blue, and it’s perfect for spring/summer.
To win it, leave a comment to this blog and an additional comment if you:
1)Like Chic and Frog on Facebook;
2)Link to this blog post on your Facebook wall (please, provide the link to your wall);
3)Talk about this giveaway in your blog (please, provide the link to your blog);
4)Follow my blog;
5)Subscribe to my Da Wanda shop.
The giveaway will close on the 30th of April.
And don’t forget to include your mail, so that I can contact you!
This year, for the 3rd Annual Challenge of Color, Erin Prais-Hintz of Tesori trovati thought really big!
Erin sent each of the 80 participants two palettes, so that we could choose the one we liked the most.
I received these two colors palettes.
Do you recognize Brendi style when we talk about palettes? She is really unique!
After some thinking I selected palette number 2: Lake Amadeus, a salt lake in Australia as I found out later. Honestly, it was really hard to take a decision, but in the end it was my resolution not to buy new beads that made the difference.
I have a lot of brown beads or stones in my stash, but no white or grey ones. Also I never used any blue beads in my pieces, so I thought this was the perfect occasion.
Picking up the colours was pretty easy: blue, lime-green and light violet.
The blue focal is a wonderful cuff connector from Heather Powers of HumbleBeads, then I used round amethyst beads and lime-green jade beads.
You know, I would have never thought to match blue and lime-green, but now I am enchanted by this combination. These two colours look wonderful together.
That’s why I like to join this challenge as the Bead Soup Blog Hop© challenge, because you are somehow forced to experiment and to work with new tools.
Now, are you ready to hop? I cannot wait to see what the other participants made!

This year, as last year, I decided to join the Challenge of Color hosted by Erin Prais-Hintz of Treasures Found.
Erin is an amazing polymer clay artist and jewellery designer. If you take a look at her Etsy shop, you will be really impressed by her unique style.
The blog hop for the 3rd Challenge of Color will be tomorrow, and today I want to freshen up your memory by showing you what I made for my first Challenge of color.
For this bracelet I used Swarovski beads in petrol and green shades, wrinkled silk fabric in a neutral pink shade and ceramic beads.
Aaah! Swaroski beads are so nice to touch, I love that feeling!
Anyway, this was one year ago. For the blog hop of tomorrow I can tell you that there will be another bracelet in completely different colors and materials.
As I am a kind person, I am posting a preview… Sorry for the quality of the photo!
Tomorrow I will post better ones, really!
