I have been playing with unconventional material lately and I found out it is a great exercise to boost creativity.
Last Wednesday, I wrote that I wanted to create something using washers (I am still not sure that this is the right term..).
Today I can tell you that my Industrial Revolution collection now features two pairs of earring. And more are coming soon.
This is the first pair I made.
I used LoS to give a rusty, used look.
And this is the second pair, made using smaller washers.
For this pair, I just filed 2 out of 3 discs to create some texture.
Curiously, as my mind was completely absorbed in this reinventing process, I decided that it was time to reinvent a bracelet I made some time ago and that never satisfied me.
It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t nice either.
So I dissembled it and, yes, now I am happy with it.
Does it ever happen to you to undo an old creation?
Happy Bead Table Wednesday everyone!
I do hope you like to see red beads because here is what is on my bead table today:
A client saw my pink cluster bracelet and asked me if I could make one in red. So I went through my stash to put together a nice mix of red Bohemian beads.
I have already done some elements and I think it will be ready for tonight. You know, I found out that this is a great way to improve your simple loop technique.
Now, if you want to know what it’s going on on more bead tables, have a look here!
I started this month with a memory bracelet and I want to end it in the same way.
As you can easily guess, it’s really easy to make this kind of bracelets. You just need some memory wire and some beads – I think the more different types you have, the better. Yes, simple like that. The result is always something unique, playful and maybe colourful. Perfect for the summertime!
You can find my handmade jewellery in my shop at DaWanda.
Summer makes one feel like wearing bright and bold colours, doesn’t it? And I love it!
It’s always a nice moment (also tiring, I admit that) when you put away all the winter clothes with their dark and gloomy shadows to make place to the joyful tones of summer clothes.
Same goes for jewellery and bijoux. I think that I would have never created a yellow bracelet during winter time, but summer is different: there is a feeling to be playful, to have fun with what your are wearing. So, think big and wear the Sun!
Each of us is partial to a special type of bracelet, necklace or earrings.
Lately, I discovered my weakness for cluster jewellery. I think that this kind of jewels states its presence with every move you make and it is definitely eye-catching. If you are looking for a detail in your look that won’t pass by unnoticed without being flashy, this is the right choice to make in my opinion.
Here is one of my most beloved creations, I really like it.
You can find its “cousin” in pink here.
Would you like to share your most beloved creation? Link to it in your comment, I think it would be really interesting putting our “treasures” side by side in one of my next posts. It isn’t a contest, only a way to show our tastes.
